The committee recommends a course sequence that builds foundational knowledge before moving into advanced collection and finance topics.
01 · Start with the fundamentals
Precourse and Course IV — Connecticut Government, Supervision & Public Relations — taken concurrently.
02 · Develop collection expertise
Course I — Connecticut Tax Collection Administration & Law — followed by Course II — Connecticut Tax Collection Enforcement & Law.
03 · Complete the course sequence
Course III — Municipal Finance Administration & Management — then review the separate final exam application requirements.

CCMC plans the municipal collector course program and administers recertification in cooperation with Connecticut’s Office of Policy and Management.
Members are appointed by the Secretary of the Office of Policy and Management for six-year terms, in accordance with CGS §12-130a.
